Farmtech serves the Ag & Viticulture industries of the Mid North & Barossa Valley areas and beyond.
A PROUD HISTORY OF SERVICING THE LOCAL AG & VITICULTURE COMMUNITY
Farmtech is an independent family owned & operated company established & owned by husband & wife pairing of Shane “Crasher” Schiller & Fiona Schiller.
With Crash growing up on a family sheep & cropping farm in the tough eastern area of Eudunda, there was always a need to learn how to fix your own equipment to keep things going, especially with an added keen interest in motorbikes as a hobby.
With a tight budget on the farm, it was necessary to seek external employment, so with a passion for farming & mechanics, Crash sourced an apprenticeship in the mid 1990’s as an agricultural diesel mechanic in the Barossa Valley.

Crash worked in various aspects of the mechanical industry over the following years & after getting married and starting a family, it was decided in late 2007 to take a leap of faith into self employment & business ownership.
With a very modest beginning of a simple Toyota Hilux workmate service ute, a 3x3metre garden shed for some parts storage & a determined mindset, business began from a residential backyard in the township of Eudunda.
What was going to be a simple life of self-employment soon changed with the need to employ a part time office clerk when Fiona went back to work full time in her own passion of teaching.
Soon after, the employment of another mechanic took place, & then an apprentice. The residential house block with the upgraded new 7.5x9m shed had now been well and truly outgrown & a new house & property on the outskirts of Eudunda was purchased in 2012 with larger shedding.
Business continued to grow, & in 2017 a retail parts store was introduced. After multiple floor space expansions, some more employment & more larger machinery starting to arrive, life was starting to get cluttered in the yard & it was getting hard to separate work & home life.
In 2020 it was decided to once again relocated the business, so in 2021 Farmtech opened its brand new premises only just down the road with almost 4 hectares of land to spread its wings and call itself home.
In 2023 Farmtech made the next move to open a branch in the Barossa Valley to focus its viticultural efforts closer to its clients. Today Farmtech is proud to look back on its upbringing and growth & continues to strive to be the best it can be to serve the clients that have come through its doors.
As for the future…who knows what might happen, so watch this space.
